My Inner Wilma Flintstone

I been sitting here contemplating how to start this post off, without boring any of you.

Let me start at the beginning.

Like many of us I have struggled over the years with yo yo diets, exercise, and have struggled to not only keep it off but to maintain it.

Two children later and I had enough of my clothes not fitting me, feeling like crap and having no energy.

I decided I wanted to challenge myself & prove to myself that I could achieve anything I set my mind to, so what did I sign myself up for... Only the hardest bloody obstacle challenge bought to earth. Tough Mudder..... Uh huh, crazy....

But i will say that it was the best thing that I did for myself .....it gave me the confidence and motivation that I needed.

So in August 2012 both Adam and I joined Crossfit. I wanted something different and I was sick of Adams complaining about his body and energy levels.

I will never forget my first one on one that I had with our instructor Matt.. Head in the garden and my whole body aching for days.... But there was something about that one on one that made me know that Crossfit was going to be fun and hard work and that I would see the results that I wanted not only physically but mentally & emotionally.

My headspace was in the right frame of mind to finally make that lifestyle change that I had been wanting to make for so long.

So I finally had my exercise resume at a controllable point and it was time to get the eating side right.

Matt put a post on the Crossfit website about paleo. I had never heard of it before so I thought I would read the article that he posted and started to do some of my own research on this "lifestyle" and i was very certain with myself that this was the path that I wanted to take myself and my family on. 6 weeks ago I made the paleo lifestyle change and will never look back.

So this brings me to today and this blog.

It's about positive change, and documenting my lifestyle journey and teaching my children about having a healthy lifestyle.
